Duties of the Toastmaster:

  • Give help and advice to Mayor, Chairman or secretary prior to event.
  • Liaise with management and caterers
  • Conduct Receiving Line if required
  • Call Guests to Dinner
  • Introduce Mayor or Chairman & main guests into dinner
  • Check microphones and liaise with photographers
  • Announce Grace
  • Introduce ‘Takings of Wine’
  • Introduce Loyal Toast
  • Introduce speeches
  • Conduct fund raising and raffle
  • Conduct Auction
  • Introduce Entertainment
  • Introduce final words from Mayor or Chairman.
