Wedding Receptions

FOR EVERY CULTURE

Duties of the Toastmaster:

 

  • Before the arrival of the guests, liaise with the banqueting manager about the format of the day.
  • Greet the bride and bridegroom on their arrival and ensure their needs are catered for.
  • Assist the photographer in gathering the required groups together.
  • Organise the receiving line (if required)
  • Announce the entrance of the bride and bridegroom.
  • Announce, or say, Grace as required.
  • Announce ceremonial cutting of cake, assisting the couple in posing correctly for the photograph.
  • Announce speakers and toasts.
  • Assist with handing out bouquets and presents to the mothers and bridesmaids.

Duties of the Toastmaster:

 

  • Liaise with the caterers, photographer, musicians, and any other important suppliers
  • Organise and supervise the receiving line
  • Organise and supervise which ever mode of entrance for the Bat Mitzvah/Bar Mitzvah (Jewish)
  • Announce and introduce whoever is saying Grace before meals
  • Announce the Host for Welcome speech
  • Introduce and announce speeches and toasts
  • Announce dancing
  • Announce and organise the cutting of the cake
  • Assist in any other duties or requests required by the client

Official Openings

& Product Launches

Duties of the Toastmaster:

 

  • Have a meeting / meetings with the launch team.
  • Get a running order and script.
  • Attend the dress rehearsal if required.
  • Get to the venue early.
  • Make your introduction memorable.
  • Build up to the moment of unveiling.
  • Let the product and company shine.
  • Assist with the question time if needed and possibly ask one an obvious questions like “Why have you launched this product?”
  • Maximize the publicity.

Award Ceremonies

& Conferences

Duties of the Toastmaster:

 

  • Liaise with the conference organiser Liaise with the venue representative
  • Ensure that the PA equipment is ready and in working order for the speakers
  • Ensure that the lighting is at the correct level as requested by the client
  • If a VIP reception is required then ensure that this is arranged as per your wishes
  • Announce the commencement of the conference at the appropriate time
  • Announce and introduce any guest speakers or VIP guests who may be speaking
  • Ensure that the conference runs to the times pre-agreed with the organiser
  • Announce at the pre-determined time any comfort breaks or meal breaks
