Bob has been involved in the entertainment and hospitality sector throughout his adult life and is a former DJ and radio presenter.

Following formal training at the Ivor Spencer School for Toastmasters, Bob has regularly acted as Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies during the past 23 years. Whilst most of his work has been weddings (of all cultures) Bob is one of the leading and most knowledgeable Toastmasters on Civic and Masonic events. Bob was made an Honorary Alderman by East Herts District Council in 2011. He has also worked at royal events, Burns Night Suppers. Masonic Ladies Festivals, Civic Dinners and Company and Society Dinners.

Bob lives on the Hertfordshire / Essex Border and has worked at many of the large London Hotels and stately homes throughout the south of England as well as officiating at weddings abroad.

Elected Toastmaster of the Year in 2006 he became Chairman of the Guild the same year, standing down as Chairman in 2023 after 17 years at the helm. Bob remains as Vice Chairman and has been the Training Academy Co-ordinator and a tutor at the Academy for the past 15 years, training many of today’s most knowledgeable and excellent Toastmasters now operating in the UK.
